WRITING

Creative writing is a wonderful activity that can be enjoyed by all, regardless of age, background and educational qualifications. The writing world has now opened up to all people who are enjoying writing for a hobby, as a way to relax and even publishing personal work. From short stories to full length novels to poetry to memoirs, many ordinary people are falling in love with creative writing and enjoying a new found love of the written word.

During my years as a therapeutic writing teacher, I experienced so many people who discovered a new passion for writing and went on to write many successful projects, and yes, even publishing their work. Writing is so therapeutic and can help improve mood and overall mental health. Writing gives us an outlet for our thoughts, emotions and feelings, helping us gain clarity and a possible way forward through personal difficulties. Writing is also a way for us to tell our own story, in our own way, through our own personal use of words. Have you got a story to tell?
